This model includes the wireless rear speaker system. It is extremely easy to set up and the fidelity is very good. The five disk changer has been flawless and the features abound in all functions of this system. A fantastic system for the price. Compares or exceedes systems costing 4 or 5 times the price. If you don't have to have a "big" name system this is the one to purchase. Perfect integration with my Bravia XBR2 HDTV.
Great Price and Easy to setup.

Had a Samsung system that decided to stop working and it was wireless. I found this Sony system and was wireless to rear speakers which is what I wanted. It is easy to setup and has HDMI. HDMI is Great for HD. I had it seup in 30 min this included taking out the Samsung system. Setup was easy and was watching dvd in HD with upscale in under 45 min. Would recommend to anyone that does not want to run speaker wires to the rear from the front.

Sony BRAVIA DAV-HDX267W Theater System with Wireless Speaker Kit
I recently purchased my first home theater system for a new Sony Bravia 40" LCD TV. I connected using an HDMI cable and was able to have this system up and running in a couple of hours. Anyone who has set up a sound system in the past would likely be able to do this one in a much shorter time. I imagine that pricier systems have much better sound quality, but if you are a first-time home theater buyer you will not be disappointed in the sound that this little system puts forth. The rear speakers DO have wires running to the amplifier, which I hid behind my sofa, but otherwise they are wireless. Calibrating the speakers was quick and easy and seems to have done a perfect job of creating "surround" sound. The sound is awesome, unbelievable, and just as good as if I were at the movies! Loading the 5-disc changer requires that you carefully read the instructions or you will be scratching your head, wondering why it won't work. And, oh, I am not a young techno-geek! I am a 68-year-old woman. I highly recommend the Sony DAV-HDX267W, especially if, like me, you have no experience with home theater. |

Before we bought this Bravia unit, we read reviews about it and found them positive. Also, we chose the Sony because we have a 60" Sony DLP TV. So Sony-to-Sony made the installation easy. The only difficult part is the weight of the TV (it can't be moved by one person), so you have to have long arms to get to all the cable sockets. The instruction manual was easy to follow and had the entire theater system with wireless rear speakers up and running in a matter of hours. Incidentally, my husband has an electrical engineering degree. We are pleased with the entire system--no more movie theaters for us.

This was so easy to set up. We are beginners in home theater and this sounds like we are pros! Our room is about 12 X 25 and it fills the space with sound.
